It is believed that all Lillibridge descendants in the United States, and quite possibly Australia, come from Thomas Lillibridge the 1st. He was born ca. 1662 in England and had settled in Newport, RI by 1699. Thomas first married Mary Hobson and they had two daughters: Elizabeth and Catherine. He later married Sarah Lewis, with whom he had several more children: Sarah, Thomas the 2nd, Mary, Esther, Robert, Benjamin, John, Edward, and Patience. Thomas died on August 29, 1724 in Richmond (Washington County), RI.
I have a data base of approximately 22,000 Lillibridge descendants and their spouses. Donna (Mrs. Lyle R.) Lillibridge and I compiled these in the book "The Lillibridges of the World", Library of Congress call number: CS71.L728-1994.
